Art and Community “S-size in city”
Root and Momentousness
If art could be the reflection of urban motion, we would not ignore to social problems that really occur in our city “Kea Nangloung” a small community in area of Kea Nangloung temple, located in Bangkok. They are suffering from drugs, sexual, violation, parent, divorce, crime, etc
These problems have been circularly from one to another generation and existed in other communities in Bangkok.
Due to the declined environment, their parents are unqualified and premature pregnant .the children are not taken good care and not protected from harsh conditions. So they do not behave properly.
Purpose
From the problem above, the children are formed to live on their lives at risk. The undeveloped population might become criminals. The makers expect this activity could stimulate these children to realize self-esteem and discrimination. At least, it is another point to show that they can improve and make anything better. Meanwhile, they join the activity then show their artwork, the make expect their parents would perceive the capability and turn to take better care of them. So the maker which are composed of art student, volunteers, and HIV infested young, aim to apply the art process in activity as follows.
Activity from
1. As the HIV infested young have leaned how to perform simple stage show and role-play, it is what they dream to and it do not come true in reality.The show is in front of temple yard to entertain people and record details for exhibition.
2. The art students from the mocking TV shows about word puzzle by let parent gesture and children guess what it is? This builds the warmth between them. It shoes the reality about learning process that children would imitate from parents this game shows in every houses in community and record for exhibition. (by Kaowtoo)
3.The volunteers make VDO work by mocking the political situation.The parents play the politician role and state many crises such as global warming, economic crisis. It takes place in amall path through community and playground to compaer between big troubles we pay attention and small ones we ignore.(by Viriyah)
4. The art students let every families learn the process and how to make animation
such as photo taking, flipbook drawing or paper cutting in different figures
then join cartoon or short film for their families.
The simple technique are applied to this process, the different form depends on each imagination's family.
This work are shown circularly in each family or set for free movies in wide areas.(by Apple)
